Fortunate to have been born and raised in a small town in the beautiful Cascade Mountains of Northern California, my western lifestyle experiences have included living in the Black Hills of South Dakota, the plains of West Texas and the mountains of Northern New Mexico. Although my formal education includes a MA from the University of Northern Colorado, my real life education has come from living in small towns and communities and learning and appreciating the "down to earth" values associated with a rural lifestyle.
Surrounded by incredible outdoor recreation all my life, I have had many opportunities to "live the western outdoor lifestyle" that I enjoy so much. Today, within a one hour’s drive of my home, I can go snow skiing, fly fishing, white water rafting, camping, wake boarding, snowmobiling and a whole lot more. To work in the morning and take off in the afternoon to go skiing or fly fishing is kind of cool!
